What's for sale and who can buy?

Antiques Week is a GIANT marketplace that attracts dealers from around the world who both buy and sell. You can find American and European antiques, vintage decorator and collectible items, art in all forms, glass, crystal, guns, architectural elements, industrial and farm equipment, vintage automotive parts, machinery, signs, furniture, light fixtures, toys, clothes, re-purposed items, handcrafted goods, crafts, bits and pieces. This is a public market, but you will also see buyers from antique and collectible stores across the country purchasing items for resale in their shops. Serious resale buyers tend to be here very early in the show and often purchase items as they come off the trucks and trailers.

    What is a "Show Site?"

A Show Site is a place, field, building, tent, barn, or store where one to 500 independent dealers/vendors set up and sell their goods. Each Show is also independent from all the other Shows, even if they operate two or three different sites or locations.

    How Much Does it Cost?

Almost ALL of the Shows are FREE admission. You could spend two weeks attending every single day and not see all of the free shows. We also have a few Shows that charge an admission fee. These are considered premium Shows with carefully selected dealers and vendors. These Shows are great for those shoppers who either don't want to scour acres and acres of fields or who have limited time to shop. A good number of our visitors do both!

    Where is the Show?

Your question should be where are the Shows. There are dozens and dozens of Show Sites in and around the communities of Round Top and Warrenton, in Fayette County, Texas. This area is located about mid-way between Houston and Austin, Texas. Antiques Week Shows are scattered in Carmine, Burton, Oldenburg, Shelby, Fayetteville and points in between.

    What are the Show Hours?

With 60+ Show Sites and thousands of vendors their isn't just one simple answer. Field vendors and dealers will be ready to open for business between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. in the morning. Other more organized indoor and paid admission Show Sites will typically open at 9:00 a.m. Many of the fields will be open until 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. Some will stay open later with a few shows extending their hours until 9:00 p.m., just look for the lights and activity! The paid admission Show Sites close at different hours depending on the day of the week and range from as early as 4:00 p.m. to as late as 7:00 p.m.

    Where do I Park?

Most, but not all, Show Sites have their own free parking. The exception is the central and south end of Warrenton where the Show Sites do not have public parking. In that area ample parking is available adjacent to the Shows for a reasonable fee ($5). Parking there puts you within easy walking distance to all of the Shows in that area.

    Can I bring my Dog?

Most of the field shows and outdoor Show Sites allow dogs. Indoor Shows are less inviting if you can't hold your dog under your arm.

    What about Bad Weather?

Hey, it's Texas and the weather will vary. It can be rainy and hot or just plain cold. But rest assured that bad weather will not stop the Shows. Rain or shine, Antiques Week will be open. The outdoor fields are just that, fields, and the terrain may be soggy or even muddy after a good rain, so bring your boots if it looks like it might be wet.

    Cash, Check or Charge?

Yes please. Some dealers will accept all forms of payment, others only cash. The good news is that there are lots of ATM's to be found at the Shows and at the local banks in Round Top, Carmine, Fayetteville and La Grange.

    What should I Wear?

Ladies: Cowgirl sassy, gypsy chic, cute rubber boots, jeans, shorts, dresses, prom dresses, cowboy hats, red hats, tiaras. It's all good....and dressing up is part of the fun! Remember, they are "fields" so if the weather is bad it may get muddy...a lightweight rolling cart is a good idea, carry a small umbrella, a hat and a change of shoes and dress in layers.

Gentlemen: Do we really need to say anything here? Naw!

Can I bring my Golf Cart?

Only the large Show fields at the north end of Warrenton are suitable for golf carts. (e.g. Ex-cess, North Gate, Bar W and Tin Star). Marburger Farms has had golf carts for rent for use at their Show. Beyond that the paths are narrow, the roadside is cluttered, and there's no place to park them out of someone's way. Other Show Sites are miles apart requiring another mode of transportation to move from Show to Show.
